The head of the senators' bloc for La Libertad Avanza, Patricia Bullrich, stated that she "is no longer the Minister of National Security." In comments to the media, she confirmed that the police officer involved in the detention of the press worker has been "placed under investigation" due to his "inadequate conduct" as an officer. Bullrich explained that she did not see the video of the incident, but spoke with the Secretary of National Security, Martín Alejandro Ferlauto, who informed her that the situation occurred during the detention of ten Greenpeace activists who had entered the steps of Congress in protest. "An investigation has been opened because the head of police has evaluated that his conduct has been reproachable, and this is under analysis," the former minister stated. To conclude, Bullrich noted that if an investigation is opened against a police officer, it means that his actions "were not the ones that should have been taken": "If it had been an action that we consider correct, an investigation would not have been opened against him," she concluded.
